With over 35 years of experience in the financial services industry, John joined Baird in 2009. His journey began back in 1990 when he started his career at A. G. Edwards, where he not only served as a Financial Advisor but also took on the role of Branch Manager during the Company’s buyout.
John’s educational background includes a BS in Finance from California State university, Chico. Before joining A. G. Edwards, he spend a year working for Pepsi-Cola after his graduation. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER, John provides expert and professional planning services. To obtain his CFP® certificate, he completed an approved educational program, passed a rigorousexamination, and fulfilled strict experience requirements. His commitment to excellence is evident through his adherence to a professional Code of Ethics and his dedication to ongoing education to stay up to date with the latest planning strategies and financial trends.
Outside of his professional life, John is actively involved in his community. He has a passion for golf and has contributed to the membership committee at Granite Bay Golf Club. Additionally, he is a member of Bayside Church and has supported the Eureka Union School District.
John and his wife Jackie have been long-time residents of Granite Bay, where they raised their two children, Kaleigh and Lucas.When he’s not working or giving back to his community, John enjoys spending quality time with his family. He has a diverse range of hobbies, including golfing, exercising, skiing, and snowboarding. Over the past 12 years he has also participated in a number of triathlons, including 3 full Ironmans and a dozen half Ironmans. The discipline, time management, organization, and hard work required for these events have undoubtedly shaped his approach to wealth management, benefiting his clients.
